COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the second consecutive year, Westminster University’s Ashley Lam is the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Year, the conference announced Monday. Lam spearheads this year’s major award winners and All-RMAC rosters.
Colorado State University Pueblo’s Thale Victoria Estensen and Colorado Christian University’s Ashlyn Kennedy accompany Lam as major award winners for the 2025-26 season, with Estensen earning the Freshman of the Year award and Kennedy securing the Coach of the Year title.
The All-RMAC rosters and major awards are selected by a committee comprised of the RMAC Men’s and Women’s Coach Chairs, Men’s and Women’s RAC coach representatives, and a representative from the RMAC office, utilizing the Clippd Rankings after the NCAA Regionals. The league’s Coach of the Year honor is voted on by the league’s head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for themselves.
Lam claimed her second consecutive RMAC Women’s Golfer of the Year award after another standout season for the Westminster Griffins. The sophomore closed the year ranked No. 29 nationally and No. 8 in the region in the latest Clippd rankings.
Lam recorded four individual titles during the 2025-26 campaign, including medalist honors at the 2026 RMAC Women’s Golf Championship, becoming a back-to-back RMAC champion. Her exceptional play throughout the season earned Lam an individual berth to the 2026 NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championship.
Estensen earned Freshman of the Year honors after an outstanding debut season with the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves. The Høvik, Norway, native competed in 11 events during the 2025-26 campaign, recording one top-three finish and capturing one individual title.
Estensen delivered one of her strongest performances of the season at the 2026 RMAC Women’s Golf Championship, finishing fourth overall with a 5-over-par 185. Behind Estensen’s contributions, the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves claimed their fourth consecutive conference championship and secured a berth to the 2026 NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championship.
Kennedy is the 2025-26 RMAC Coach of the Year after guiding the Cougars through a successful 2025-26 campaign. Under her stewardship, CCU earned a regional ranking of 22nd and a national ranking of 67th. Through 10 tournaments this season, Kennedy and the Cougars earned three top-three finishes. In the postseason, CCU finished in a tie for second in the 2026 RMAC Women’s Golf Championship, with Makenna Brown claiming a top-three finish. Following the conference championship, Colorado Christian punched its ticket to the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championship Regionals.
Seven of the RMAC’s 10 women’s golf sponsoring institutions are represented among the 16 selections to the league’s First and Second Team All-RMAC squads. CSU Pueblo leads the way with five honorees on the All-RMAC roster, while Colorado Christian University checks in with three honorees. Colorado Mesa University, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Westminster University are all represented by two student-athletes, as South Dakota Mines and Chadron State College each have one.
