COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Westminster University sophomore Ashley Lam is the 2025-26 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Academic Player of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday. Lam leads an eight-member First Team Academic All-RMAC roster as selected by the league’s athletic communication directors.

Lam continues to be recognized for her outstanding performance on and off the course, as she earned her second RMAC Golfer of the Year honor earlier this year and has now been named Academic Player of the Year. Lam claims her latest major recognition with a 3.95 grade-point average as a sophomore. Her performance on the links is just as impressive as her performance in the classroom, as the Taylorsville, Utah, native closed the year ranked No. 29 nationally and No. 8 in the region. She captured four individual titles during the 2025-26 season, highlighted by medalist honors at the 2026 RMAC Women’s Golf Championship to repeat as conference champion. Her standout performance throughout the year also secured her an individual berth at the 2026 NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championship.

Lam leads an eight-member First Team Academic All-RMAC group with five of the conference women’s golf sponsoring member institutions represented. Colorado State University Pueblo leads the way with three honorees on the Academic All-RMAC team, while Chadron State College is represented by two student-athletes. Fort Lewis College, South Dakota Mines, and Westminster round out the Academic All-RMAC roster with one representative each.

CSU Pueblo’s Freya Constable and Lisa Ekberg are joined by Chadron State’s Aubree Heinsma as returners on the First Team Academic All-RMAC roster, while South Dakota Mines’ Kenzie Schroeder made the jump from Honor Roll to First Team.

In addition, the RMAC recognized 34 student-athletes, including the eight First Team Academic All-RMAC honorees, on its 2025-26 Women’s Golf Academic Honor Roll.

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport who academically maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average, have completed two consecutive semesters at their current institution, and have used a season of competition.

Each institution’s athletic communications directors nominate student-athletes who academically maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, along with the other criteria for the Academic Honor Roll, for recognition on the First Team Academic All-RMAC in each sport. The league’s athletic communications directors for that sport vote to compose the First Team Academic All-RMAC and select the Academic Player of the Year. They are not permitted to vote for their own student-athletes.
