COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The six-team field for the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Softball Championship tournament is set with Colorado Christian University earning the No. 1 seed and will host the tournament beginning Thursday, May 7 at All Star Park in Lakewood.

The softball championship will feature a single-elimination format in 2026 with the top two seeds receiving byes into Friday's semifinal round. The lower four seeds will play in Thursday's first round with the winners advancing to the semifinals. The two semifinal winners advance to Saturday's championship game.

Nationally-ranked Colorado Christian (52-4, 42-2 RMAC) came up just short in its attempt to finish the RMAC regular-season race unbeaten. However, they locked up the regular-season title with two weeks remaining and are the tournament's No. 1 seed. CSU Pueblo (38-16, 34-10 RMAC) was the spoiler to the Cougars perfect season attempt and will enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed.

The first semifinal game will pit No. 3 seed MSU Denver (35-19, 28-16 RMAC) against No. 6 seed Colorado School of Mines (26-29, 21-21 RMAC), which locked in the final spot on Saturday and completes its regular-season slate on Sunday.  The Roadrunners won all six meetings against the Orediggers during the regular season, including their four-game RMAC series in mid-March.

The second semifinal features No. 4 seed Colorado Mesa (28-24, 27-17 RMAC) against No. 5 seed UCCS (32-21, 26-18 RMAC). UCCS won the regular-season series, 3-1, at the end of March in Grand Junction.
