COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Concordia University Irvine senior attacker Max Texter is the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s 2026 Men’s Lacrosse Academic Player of the Year and leads a 13-member First Team Academic All-RMAC Team and an 88-member Academic Honor Roll selected by the RMAC men’s lacrosse athletic communications directors.

Texter, a senior from Irvine, California, has a 3.84 grade-point average as a kinesiology major at Concordia University Irvine. He is now a two-time First Team Academic All-RMAC selection and has been a member of the league’s academic honor roll three times during his career.

On the field, Texter played in 17 games, scoring 13 goals and recording 12 assists. That total included three goals and three assists in the Golden Eagles’ RMAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship run. He also had an assist in Concordia Irvine’s NCAA Division II Men’s Lacrosse tournament match against Flagler.

Dunagan leads a 13-member First Team Academic All-RMAC unit with four of the league’s six men’s lacrosse-sponsoring institutions represented. Texter was one of five repeat first-team honorees, joined by teammate Jake Cloutier and Westminster duo Keller Hopkins and Daxton Jensen. In addition, Colorado Mesa’s Caleb Schreiber makes his third First Team Academic All-RMAC appearance, which includes a turn as the league’s 2025 Academic Player of the Year.

In addition, the RMAC recognized 88 student-athletes, including First Team Academic All-RMAC honorees, on its 2026 Men’s Lacrosse Academic Honor Roll.

The RMAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport who academically maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average, have completed two consecutive semesters at their current institution, and have used a season of competition.

Each institution’s athletic communications directors nominate student-athletes who academically maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, along with the other criteria for the Academic Honor Roll, for recognition on the First Team Academic All-RMAC. The league’s athletic communications directors vote to compose the team and select the Academic Player of the Year. They are not permitted to vote for their own student-athletes.
