The All-Sports Cup is determined by awarding points based on each institution’s team's finish in conference championship play. Teams must count their points in four conference core sports: football or men’s soccer, volleyball, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball. Then, six additional sports will be counted toward an institution’s total, with the top three men’s finishes and top three women’s finishes by points awarded counted. For teams that award a regular-season title, points are awarded based on a team’s finish in the regular season. For sports that do not award a regular-season title, points are awarded based on a team’s finish in their respective RMAC Championship.

Today's announcement is the first of nine annual awards announcements to be presented by the RMAC in the next three weeks. On Wednesday, the league will announce the 2025-26 Con Marshall / J.W. Campbell Sports Information Department of the Year, followed by Wayne Barger Athletic Trainer of the Year on Thursday. Next week, the league announces the Female and Male Scholar-Athletes of the Year on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, followed by the 2025-26 Sportsmanship Cup on Thursday. The 2026-26 Woman and Man of the Year follow on June 30 and July 1, respectively, with the 2025-26 Brechler Awards capping the annual award announcements on July 2.
