COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fort Lewis College sophomore forward Simao Agostinho, Colorado State University Pueblo sophomore defender Jamal Bynum and Regis University sophomore goalie Zach Jennings earned the latest Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive, Defensive, and Goalkeeper of the Week awards, the conference announced Tuesday.
Offensive
Simao Agostinho, Fort Lewis (Sophomore, Forward, Loule, Portugal)
Agostinho made his Fort Lewis debut, needing just 98 total minutes to tie for the most goals scored in Division II on opening weekend, in addition to powering the Skyhawks to a pair of wins over Lone Star Conference foes Lubbock Christian with a 2-1 win, and a 7-0 victory against West Texas A&M. At Lubbock Christian, he single-handedly took care of the Chaparrals, first beating three defenders and the goalkeeper from the top of the penalty box at 28:36 to find the back of the net, and again at the 72:01 mark when he took advantage of an errant pass on the back line and beat the keeper one-on-one. Facing West Texas A&M, Agostinho first stepped up for a penalty kick at the 27:50 mark, burying it in the left corner opposite the goalkeeper. Later, at 48:23, Agostinho took possession near midfield and evaded a pair of defenders near the top of the penalty area before rifling a shot back across the box and inside the right post.

Defensive
Jamal Bynum, CSU Pueblo (Sophomore, Defender, Rio Rancho, New Mexico)
Jamal Bynum scored two goals, including his first two career game-winning goals, and helped lead CSU Pueblo and its defense to two clean sheets and a 2-0 start to the year. For the week, the defender scored both goals on only four shots. Bynum scored the only goal of a 1-0 victory during the 75' in Thursday's season opener at St. Mary's. On Saturday against Sul Ross State, Bynum wasted no time finding the back of the net, scoring after only 2:01 had passed on the clock to put the Pack ahead 1-0 before going on to a 2-0 win.

Goalkeepr
Zach Jennings, Regis (Sophomore, Goalkeeper, Norman, Oklahoma)
Shutout third-ranked Fort Hays State on the road with a 1-0 victory. The sophomore tallied three saves while facing ten total shot attempts for the contest.
