COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo quarterback Navi Bruzon, Colorado Mesa University linebacker Dante Vigil, and Fort Lewis College linebacker Dante Vigil are the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s Week 2 Players of the Week, announced Monday.
Bruzon’s 421-yard, four-touchdown effort powered the ThunderWolves to a win against Colorado School of Mines. Vigil led the Mavericks with a 17-tackle effort in a road win at South Dakota Mines. Schmitten provided a walk-off overtime field goal as the Skyhawks downed New Mexico Highlands University.
Offensive
Navi Bruzon, CSU Pueblo (Sophomore, Quarterback, Peoria, Arizona)
Bruzon completed 22-of-27 passes (81.5 percent) for 421 yards and four touchdowns, leading CSU Pueblo to a 45-17 victory against Colorado School of Mines. His four touchdown passes went for 75, 66, 24, and 38 yards, with wide receiver Marcellus Honeycutt Jr. catching two of those (75 and 24 yards) as part of his seven-reception, 156-yard outing. Bruzon’s 421-yard passing day was the third-best in Division II this season, and he had the fourth-best single-game passing efficiency rating in Division II.

Dante Vigil, Colorado Mesa (Sophomore, Linebacker, Golden, Colorado)
Vigil’s career-high 17 tackles led all tacklers in Colorado Mesa’s 30-24 victory at South Dakota Mines – the lone win by a road team in the RMAC in Week 2. It is the best total tackle effort in the RMAC and tied for fourth most in Division II this season. Vigil recorded six tackles in the second quarter and added seven tackles in the third quarter.

Lucas Schmitten, Fort Lewis (Junior, Kicker, Highlands Ranch, Colorado)
Schmitten’s 37-yard field goal in overtime delivered Fort Lewis a 31-28 victory against New Mexico Highlands. It capped a perfect kicking day for Schmitten, who connected from 23 and 42 yards in regulation along with two PATs. His 42-yard field goal provided the Skyhawks with a 28-21 lead with 2:13 left in regulation.
