Zack Chavez steps into the league’s communications role after three years at the Southland Conference, where he served as the Assistant Director of Communications. At the RMAC, he will oversee the conference’s communications efforts, including social media strategy, public and media relations practices as well as serving as the RMAC’s liaison to the conference’s sports information directors.
Prior to his time at the Southland, Chavez worked as the assistant sports information director for Lubbock Christian University. While there, he helped pioneer the video production segment of the LCU athletic department. Before stepping into a full-time position with LCU, Chavez worked as a student assistant and intern for the Chaparrals, while obtaining his undergraduate degree from Lubbock Christian. Upon the completion of his bachelor’s degree, he secured his master’s degree at Texas Tech University.
